Bike to Work Day 2007 Was a Great Success!
Data from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) for
this year's event shows that about 21,000 bicycle commuters participated, a 14 percent increase over last year's total!
Other statistics from today's event include the following:
- 705 companies participated in Bike to Work Day by offering information and assistance about the event at their workplaces.
- 119 breakfast stations around the region offered bicycle commuters energy-boosting snacks before heading into work.
- 7,530 first time riders pedaled to work.
- 109,000 vehicle miles were taken off the road.
Commuters and Businesses Win Big!
Bike to Work Day prize and Business Challenge winners have been finalized. Prizes will be mailed directly to each winner.

Thanks again to all of you who participated. Bike to Work Day promotes a healthy commuting alternative that benefits the rider and the community by reducing pollution and traffic congestion in the Denver region. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
