The City of Lakewood Sustainability Program will: (1) set an example by continually searching for greener ways to operate City government while saving taxpayer dollars; (2) draft new public policy tools that will encourage green building in Lakewood; and (3) capitalize on a beautiful setting, an educated workforce, new transportation options, and many local resources including the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), Red Rocks Community College, and other organizations leading the way toward the New Energy Economy. |
