| Summary |
The Douglas County Sustainability Initiative is a cooperative effort including residents, representatives from the Partnership of Douglas County Governments, topic-area experts, business owners, and staff. The Initiative is comprised of a Sustainability Initiative Advisory Committee (SIAC) and a Working Group. Both groups are responsible for reporting to the County Manager and to the public on a regular basis. The structure will bring disparate County sustainability activities together to support Board of County Commissioner policies and goals, build efficiencies by reducing redundant staff efforts, foster public participation, and ensure sustainability program recommendations to the County Manager have been developed cooperatively by staff and the public. |
