Abstract: This short article provides a strategy for getting development projects approved by the community. It uses a resort plan as an example, but the techniques can be applied to dealing with the more controversial aspects of TOD development. The article suggests how to approach citizen groups first, and how to choose the most persuasive form for a message to take. Other articles by the same author deal with hostile meetings and NIMBY interests.
