Notice of Public Hearing
Before the
Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG)
NOTICE is hereby given that the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at the Colorado History Museum Boettcher Auditorium, 1300 Broadway, in Denver.
The hearing is an opportunity to comment on proposed amendments to Metro Vision 2035, the Clean Water Plan and the 2035 Metro Vision Regional Transportation Plan. In addition, comments will be taken on air quality conformity findings on the proposed transportation plan amendments.

Comments submitted in writing, via email, or online will receive the same consideration as comments made at the hearing.
Metro Vision 2035 Amendments
The hearing will address several proposed amendments to Metro Vision to:
- add two urban centers (Candelas Activity Center and North End Station Urban Center) and
- address policy changes in the area of energy, climate change and long-term sustainability.
Clean Water Plan
Two amendments are proposed to the Clean Water Plan. They include:
- a new northern wastewater treatment plant, and
- a change to the Westminster Wastewater Utility Service Area.
Metro Vision 2035 Regional Transportation Plan
The hearing covers proposed amendments to the 2035 Metro Vision Regional Transportation Plan that would make the following changes:
- Fiscally constrained network changes
- adding the initial phase of the Jefferson Parkway, SH93 to SH128;
- adding a northbound lane on Federal Boulevard, 5th Avenue to Holden Place;
- widening 144th Avenue, Zuni Street to Huron Street; and
- North Metro FasTracks Station changes.
- Revising completion years to 57 projects
- Updating costs
- Increasing the cost for the US6/Wadsworth interchange;
- Reflecting cost changes to 45 locally funded roadway projects; and
- Reflecting cost changes to RTD FasTracks corridors, per the 2008 Annual Report

- Those who cannot attend may submit written comments before 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 to drcog@drcog.org or to DRCOG Chair, 1290 Broadway, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80203-5606. Comments received in writing will receive the same consideration as comments made at the hearing.
- Post your comment online by 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17 or view others' comments. Online comments will receive the same consideration as comments made at the hearing.

Action
The DRCOG Board is expected to act on the proposed amendments at its Jan. 20, 2010, meeting.
