DRCOG produces annual employment estimates. Estimates are derived from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW). Please see the wage and salary employment notes for additional information.

Employment Forecasts
DRCOG produces county level employment forecasts. These forecasts are created from DRCOG’s socioeconomic allocation model. The model is a long run forecast with a forecasting horizon of 2035. The allocation model does not forecast the interim years. These points are obtained by interpolating the forecasting horizon and the base year. The model is periodically updated to reflect changes in transportation and land use assumptions.
