Federal Livable Communities Initiative
On September 23, DRCOG hosted a Planner Idea Exchange on Federal Livable Communities Initiatives including:
- The recently announced HUD, DOT and EPA Partnership for Sustainable Communities.
- The recently introduced Livable Communities Act of 2009.
During the meeting member government representatives learned about and provided feedback on the initiatives.
Speakers included:
- Cindy Cody, Sustainability Coordinator, EPA Region 8 provided an overview of the HUD, DOT and EPA Partnership for Sustainable Communities and the related livability principles. Click here
