What will the Denver region look like in the year 2040? How can our region accommodate millions of new people and jobs? How might different development patterns and infrastructure investments influence our region's quality of life?
DRCOG has developed an interactive computer tool called MetroQuest that allows policy makers, business leaders and the general public to explore these questions by visualizing alternative future scenarios for our region.
Learn more about MetroQuest from a March 2010 column in the Denver Post. Read the December 2009 article about MetroQuest in 5280 Magazine.
Check-out the online version of MetroQuest, which allows you to select different policy options for our region and explore the future you've created.
MetroQuest Workshops
The online tool is a pared-down version of the full system that DRCOG uses in public workshops. The workshop version has many more maps and graphs to view and the benefit of a live facilitator to answer your questions. The live workshops use handheld keypads so that groups can create scenarios together on the fly and then discuss different issues together.
