Interested in learning about the characteristics of the region's population? We offer detailed information from the 2000 and 2010 U.S. Census on demographic characteristics.
DRCOG produces county-level population and household forecasts. These forecasts are created from DRCOG's socioeconomic allocation model. The model is a long-run forecast with a forecasting horizon of 2035 with a 2005 base. The allocation model does not forecast the interim years. These projections are obtained by interpolating the forecasting horizon and the base year. The model is periodically updated to reflect changes in transportation and land use assumptions.
All of DRCOG's data regarding population estimates, population and household forecasts, and U.S. Census comparisons can be found in the Regional Data Catalog.
