 Regional Sustainability

DRCOG presents this website as a resource for policy-makers, local government planning staff and citizens who are interested in climate change, energy sustainability and regional and local policy options for addressing these issues.

Incorporating sustainability into Metro Vision

The DRCOG Board of Directors recently incorporated sustainability into Metro Vision 2035. Several new sustainability goals have been adopted.

Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program

DRCOG submitted a $5 million grant request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developments Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant program. The grant program, in coordination with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection Agency, supports metropolitan and multijurisdictional planning efforts to integrate housing, land use, economic and workforce development, transportation, and infrastructure improvements. Read more about the efforts of DRCOG and its partners seeking this grant funding.
