DRCOG, along with RTD and CDOT, plan for transit service and facilities that stimulate travel by means other than the single-occupant motor vehicle, encourage transit-oriented developments, and provide mobility options to everyone.

Transit Element


The Transit Element of the 2035 Metro Vision Regional Transportation Plan provides a framework for the coordination of transit services in the DRCOG region.

Transit Funding Pools

The FY 2014 and FY 2015 solicitation for FTA 5310 (Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities) is now closed.

DRCOG staff administers the project selection process for the 5310 program for projects serving the Denver-Aurora Urbanized Area.

Elderly and Disabled Plan

The Elderly and Disabled Plan provides policy on transportation service for the elderly and disabled population in the Denver region. It was adopted by DRCOG in October 1993 and is available at the DRCOG offices, 1290 Broadway, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80203.

DRCOG is the state-designated Area Agency on Aging, providing a variety of services to seniors in the region. The Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides a variety of specialized transit options, such as call-n-Ride, SeniorRide, access-a-Ride, BroncosRide, and others.
