The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) serves as the region's Area Agency on Aging, planning and coordinating a continuum of services available to older adults living in the Denver metro area (excluding Boulder County). DRCOG
assesses

Getting There: A guide to transportation for older adults in the Denver metro region has been produced by the Getting There Collaborative, a transportation initiative of the Colorado Health Foundation and Rose Community Foundation. The guide is also available in Spanish . The guide is available as an oversize printed document by calling 303-480-6733 or by email. It may also be downloaded from the Getting There Collaborative Web site .
County by county reports from DRCOG's 2004 Strengths and Needs Assessment are available. These reports focus on the strengths and needs of seniors in specific counties throughout the region.
The DRCOG Board of Directors recently endorsed the findings of an EPA-funded Smart Growth and Aging Project, authorizing staff to continue working on future activities in the area of
senior-friendly development.
