Comment By John Rodgers
For Regional Transportation Plan
Comment I urge that the proposed Jefferson (County) Parkway be removed from the plan. This toll road is ill-advised, unneeded, and will be an economic failure just like the comparable local and other tollroads. I further oppose this toll road for many of the same reasons that both Golden and Boulder oppose it. This proposed toll road is being pushed by developers and their political influence, because only the developers, if anyone, would gain from this poorly conceived plan. Alternatively, the existing route 93 can be improved and expanded as needed, and public transportation options can be enhanced to reduce the total flowrate of vehicles.
