Comment By Thomas Atkins
For Regional Transportation Plan
Comment Please vote against including the proposed initial phase of the Jefferson Parkway (Highway 93 north of 64th Avenue to Highway 128) in the Regional Transportation Plan.

Before re-consideration of this proposal, you should wait until the full extent of two factors are fully known:
1. The current economic downturn
2. The shift to higher energy prices

Large new highway projects (as opposed to maintaining existing highways) do not make sense in light of these two factors.

Further, any proposed new toll facility should be considered only as a publicly owned and operated facility with identified public funding sources.
