  • Idea Exchange
  • Along with new commuter rail, light rail, and bus rapid transit, the multi-billion dollar FasTracks system expansion has brought opportunities for the region’s residents and workers. And how have--and might--the characteristics, behaviors and perceptions of the residents, employers and employees near existing and future rail and bus rapid transit change over time?

October’s Metro Vision Idea Exchange presenters will share findings from a spring survey of resident, business and employee experiences in existing and planned rail and bus rapid transit station areas. The survey provided the region with an opportunity to benchmark perceptions prior to the opening of several new transit lines, while also documenting experiences and behaviors along existing transit corridors.

Participants will also hear perspectives from a mobility public advocacy organization on how the expansion of the FasTracks system has shaped the region. Representatives from a commercial real estate services firm will share its experiences and reflect on how access to transit is influencing the location decisions of businesses around the region, including those that are expanding in or relocating to the Denver region.
