The Area Agency on Aging’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program helped hundreds of Medicare beneficiaries during the 2025 open enrollment period from October 15 to December 7.

Staff and volunteers handled 1,109 calls from 608 residents as they reviewed coverage options and compared plans. Volunteers responded to 232 calls.

The average call lasted 51 minutes, reflecting the level of individual support offered to beneficiaries in Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties.
