The Colfax BRT Next project team has completed its latest round of community engagement and now plans to share a proposed community-recommended option for future bus rapid transit service along East Colfax Avenue. 

The study evaluates bus rapid transit options between I‑225 and Picadilly Road/E‑470 to advance a long‑term transit investment supporting growth and improving access along the corridor. 

Launched in late 2024, the study included online engagement, community events and opportunities for residents to provide feedback on stop locations, route design and key transit features. 

Community members emphasized the need for reliable service, safer pedestrian access and strong connections to major destinations and neighborhood businesses in the study. 

The study, which is scheduled to be completed in March 2026, will outline next steps for funding and implementation. Once built, the bus rapid transit line will offer fast and dependable service along East Colfax and connect to the bus rapid transit project already under construction between Denver and Aurora.
