Help caregivers start the new year with respite and support
After the busy holiday season, many caregivers feel stretched thin from balancing their daily responsibilities with the needs of loved ones.
The Area Agency on Aging's Caregiver Services and Support program offers guidance — at no cost — to help caregivers recharge and continue providing care.
The program connects caregivers with local resources, such as referrals to education programs, counseling services, disease-specific support groups, to help in caregiving duties.
Eligible caregivers may also receive a one-time respite voucher for up to 32 hours of in-home care, allowing them time to rest and focus on their own well-being.
